Coyote spotted locally

Coyotes have again been spotted on the Avon Trail; this time in the North section of the trail. Please hike with a buddy and report any sightings to the Ministry of Natural Resources.

A coyote has been spotted on the trail close to Highway 7 & 8 near the Forest Motel.  All hikers please be watchful of this in light of the attack on the hiker on the Cape Breton Trail in October 2009.
